Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the ones somethingdumb.com uses and why. All of them are set by our own site. None of them are advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Cookies the shop needs to work

  • Cart and session (woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_*): remember what is in your cart as you move between pages. They expire when you leave the site or after two days.
  • Login (wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*): keep you signed in if you have an account.
  • Your privacy choices (ec_consent, wp_consent_*): remember the choices you make in our privacy banner.
  • Payment security (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid): set by our payment processor, Stripe, on the checkout page to help prevent fraud.
  • Site security (__cf_bm): may be set by Cloudflare, our security provider, to tell people apart from bots.

Order attribution

The sbjs_* cookies record how you arrived at the shop (for example, a search engine or a link on another site). When you place an order, that is saved with it so we know which links bring people in. This information stays on our site and is not sent to anyone else. These cookies expire at the end of your session or within six months.

Analytics and advertising

We don’t currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add any, they will run only after you allow them in the privacy banner, and they will be listed here.

Your choices

You can review your privacy choices at any time:

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the ones the shop needs, the cart and checkout will not work.
