# Something Dumb > Merch for ideas that should have stayed ideas ## Privacy policy URL: https://somethingdumb.com/privacy-policy/ Last updated: September 27, 2026 This policy explains what personal information Something Dumb (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit somethingdumb.com or buy from it, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written with the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, in mind. What we collect Order details: your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number (if you give one), what you ordered and what you paid. Payment information: card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date. Account details: if you create an account, your login email and password (stored encrypted) and your saved addresses. Messages: anything you send us by email, including ideas you submit. Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the site that referred you. This comes from server logs, our security and delivery network, and first-party cookies described in our cookie policy. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, precise location or health information. How we use it To take payment for, print, ship and deliver your order. To send order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates, and replies to your messages. To handle problems with an order, including damaged or lost items. To prevent fraud and keep the site secure. To keep the business and tax records the law requires. To understand, in general terms, how people find and use the shop so we can improve it. We don’t send marketing email unless you have signed up for it, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Who we share it with We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the shop, and only what each one needs: Printify and its print providers, which make and ship your order. They receive your name, shipping address, the items ordered and, where the carrier needs it, your email or phone number. Shipping carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL, which deliver your order. Stripe, which processes payments and screens them for fraud. Our hosting, email and security providers, including Cloudflare, which run and protect the website and deliver our email. Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, customers or others. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The site does not currently run advertising or third-party analytics trackers. If that changes, they will run only after you consent, and this policy will be updated. How long we keep it We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to seven years. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Server and security logs are kept for a short time and then deleted. Messages are kept for as long as they are useful for handling your request. Your California privacy rights If you are a California resident, you have the right to: Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we shared it with. Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions such as records we must keep for tax purposes. Correct inaccurate personal information. Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don’t sell or share it, but you can still record your choice. Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights. To use any of these rights, email hello@somethingdumb.com from the address you used to order, or include your order number. We will confirm your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. You may also have an authorized agent contact us for you. Global Privacy Control We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. Your privacy choices Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information Security The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to run the shop. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Children The shop is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Changes We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page with its last-updated date. Contact Something Dumb1223 Cleveland AveSan Diego, CA 92103hello@somethingdumb.com --- ## Shipping & returns URL: https://somethingdumb.com/shipping-and-returns/ All sales are final Every item is printed after you place your order, just for you. Because of that, we do not accept returns or exchanges. This includes ordering the wrong size or changing your mind, so please check the size chart on the product page before you order. Rare exceptions In rare situations we may make an exception, for example if an item arrives damaged or misprinted. Exceptions are evaluated case by case, at our discretion. To ask for one, email hello@somethingdumb.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the problem and a clear photo. If we approve it, we’ll tell you whether we’ll send a replacement or issue a refund, and whether the item needs to come back. Lost packages If your tracking shows no movement for an unusually long time, or says delivered but nothing arrived, email us within 30 days of the expected delivery date and we’ll look into it with the carrier. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We can’t replace orders sent to an address entered incorrectly. Production and shipping times Production usually takes 2 to 7 business days. Delivery time after that depends on your location and the shipping method you choose at checkout. You’ll get a tracking link by email when your order ships. Cancellations Orders go into production quickly. If you need to cancel, email us as soon as possible. We can cancel only if printing hasn’t started. Approved refunds If we approve a refund, it goes back to your original payment method. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it. --- ## FAQ URL: https://somethingdumb.com/faq/ [et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ fullwidth=”on” module_class=”sd-sec sd-sec-head-wrap” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false”][et_pb_fullwidth_code _builder_version=”4.27.4″] Questions, answered reluctantly. The practical stuff about ordering, shipping, sizing and returns. [/et_pb_fullwidth_code][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ fullwidth=”on” module_class=”sd-sec sd-sec-body” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false”][et_pb_fullwidth_code _builder_version=”4.27.4″] Are these real products? Yes. The ideas are dumb. The shirts, mugs and prints are real, and they are made by professional print-on-demand production partners. How long will my order take? Every item is made after you order it. Production usually takes 2 to 7 business days, then delivery time depends on where you are and the shipping method you choose at checkout. You’ll get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships. Where do you ship, and how much does it cost? Shipping options and prices for your address are shown at checkout before you pay. Can I return or exchange something? No. Every item is printed just for you, so all sales are final and we don’t accept returns or exchanges, including for the wrong size. Check the size chart on the product page before you order. In rare situations we may make an exception. Each request is reviewed case by case. See the shipping and returns policy. My order arrived damaged or misprinted. Email hello@somethingdumb.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem. We’ll review it and let you know what we can do. What payment methods do you accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and debit cards. Payments are handled by our payment processor, and we never see or store your full card number. How do I pick a size? Every apparel product page has a size chart. Fit varies between products, so go by the chart for that item rather than the size you usually wear. How do I wash it? Turn printed apparel inside out, wash cold, and tumble dry low or hang to dry. Don’t iron directly on the print. Care details for each item are on its product page. Is this satire? Yes. The ideas are bad on purpose. If you think one of them is actually good, we’re a little worried about you. By placing an order you agree to these terms. 1. The products Our products are printed on demand by third-party production partners after you order. We try to show designs and colors accurately, but product photos are often digital mockups, and screens vary. Small differences in color, print placement and sizing are normal for printed goods and are not defects. 2. Satire and parody Our designs are jokes. They are satire and parody, and they are not statements of fact or endorsements. Any resemblance to real ideas, products or people is part of the joke or a coincidence. 3. Prices and availability Prices are in US dollars and do not include shipping or any applicable taxes, which are shown at checkout before you pay. We can change prices, products and availability at any time. If an item is listed at the wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. 4. Orders Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send a shipping confirmation. We can refuse or cancel an order for any reason, including suspected fraud, an error in pricing or product information, or a problem with production. If we cancel after you have paid, we refund you in full. 5. Payment We accept the following payment methods: VisaMastercardAmerican ExpressDebit cards Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. By paying, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method. Your card is charged when you place your order. 6. Shipping Shipping options, costs and estimated times are shown at checkout. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Ownership and risk of loss pass to you when the order is handed to the carrier. You are responsible for entering a correct shipping address. 7. Returns and refunds All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges. In rare situations we may make an exception, and each request is evaluated case by case at our discretion. See our shipping and returns policy for how to ask. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be waived. 8. Idea submissions If you send us an idea, joke or design, you give us permission to use, change and sell products based on it without paying you or crediting you, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Don’t send anything you don’t own or don’t want us to use. 9. Intellectual property The designs, text, logos and other content on this site belong to Something Dumb or its licensors. Buying a product lets you own and use that item. It does not give you the right to reproduce or sell the design. 10. Using the site Don’t use the site for anything illegal, try to break or overload it, scrape it, or place orders with payment methods you aren’t authorized to use. 11. Disclaimers The site and products are provided “as is” to the fullest extent allowed by law. We don’t promise that the site will always be available or error-free. 12. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. 13. Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise. 14. Changes We may update these terms.
